The video was screened at "The Campaign" and projected as part of the group show "Teeter" at the Visual Arts Center.

 

In preparation for How to Create a Political Persona, I extensively researched campaign speeches. As I learned and reproduced the ways in which presidential candidates use their hands to show power, understanding, and strength, the video work became a campaign of its own, reimagining visual literacy around gestures and replacing the hands with female ones.
