In 2015, I began datatization of campaign speeches and debates from U.S. politics, studying and replicating the hand gestures and nonverbal cues that candidates use to convey power, understanding, strength, and indignation. The video work evolved into its own campaign, working alongside 9 other women and non-binary individuals, we reimagined visual literacy around gestures around our political sphere.
